The Yellow Cat property can be accessed from Interstate 70. Turn off Exit 193, head southeast on a good gravel road (sign-posted as the Yellow Cat Road), after about 11 miles the road enters and traverses the property. Numerous subsidiary gravel and dirt tracks cross the property. Elevations on the Yellow Cat property range from about 5,000 feet to 4,800 feet. Precipitation is perhaps 5 – 15 inches per year. Vegetation is very sparse, with isolated juniper, pinion pine and
scrubby brush where soil is present.

The Yellow Cat property covers a part of the previously active Yellow Cat uranium mining district, and the property includes several old uranium mines and prospects, with more old mines and prospects just outside the property boundaries.
